The Wildfire Concepts Philosophy
What follows is a set of ten precepts which together form the backbone of our philosophy here at Wildfire Concepts Ltd. and will be present in some form or other in everything we do and everything we publish.
1 Seek Perspective
Perspective isl the effort to understand the things we observe or think about in relation to its context, including the full implications and scale of those things we observe and think about. It is seeing the 'bigger picture' and understanding 'how it all falls into place'.
2 Break Down Barriers
The importance of removing unnecessary mental and procedural barriers in order to replace them with openness and free movement. Barriers created to protect or defend can become obstacles if they're no longer needed
3 Challenge Relentlessly
The spirit of challenge and the spirit of learning are one and the same - a fundamental ingredient of 'vitality' for businesses and for human beings. This challenging or questioning of the status quo and of current practices and priorities should become part of everything we do rather than being a one-off event or an annual or bi-annual task.
4 Seek Balance
This precept is based on an understanding of life where maximisation, productivity and making the best use of anything (our resources, our time, our health, our lives) necessarily involves a balance. The Wildfire Philosophy encourages people to seek balance in everything, rather than following extremes of opinion or action. .
5 Stand Out From The Crowd
This precept highlights the need for people and organisations to stand by their own values and express their own identity rather than conform to the expectations of others. Differentiation lies at the heart of this important tenet, as does the importance of passionate authenticity.
6 Don't Settle For Mediocre
Instead of believing in life as mundane and ordinary, try pushing yourself towards a better future! Nothing less than being the best YOU or being the best BUSINESS that you can be will do. This precept advocates pushing for a better reality, one that is extra-ordinary!
7 Recreate and Innovate!
In a world of continuous change where people become easily bored or slip into complacency, it is even more important than ever for us to create forward motion, to reinvent ourselves and find new and exciting ways to express our identity as we adapt ourselves and our companies over the course of time and as a consequence of our learning.
8 Respect Our Humanity
The understanding of our common humanity, whilst simultaneously respecting people's individuality, is part of what it means to be human. This means putting human concerns first, in balance of course with the environment. It requires an understanding of what makes us human, and what our most fundamental needs are. Tolerance and respect for others, regardless of age, ethnic background, gender, religion, or other individual difference, are important aspects of our philosophy.
9 Start With Yourself
The need for self-knowledge and self-awareness is as important today as it ever has been. This is a very old precept, present in many religions and thought-systems. That is because it is important, as far as is humanly possible, to get to know what makes you the person (or business) you are.
10 Make It Count!
The importance of contribution and stewardship, and striving for the creation of something of value which can be passed on to others, either presently or for future generations. This is based upon the need and the human desire to make a difference, to be significant.
